I saw it this morning. I just search for paanglers on Google with IE and the result had 'this site may harm your computer' or something to that affect. Being adventurous, I typed the URL into the address and got here ok. But kind of worrisome. I think my laptop is getting a fever now.

I got it too Dsailer through Firefox, which I prefer to use. Internet Explorer doesn't seem to pick up on it though...I've been using IE to access the site since. Would like to know what the issue is...as much as I enjoy the site, definitely not worth picking up a bug.

Looks like we were hacked. There was a patch available for the software we run here on this site that I just applied so the site is safe. I now need to go get moved off of the "bad" list if you will. Those messages should start to disappear in a couple of days.
Sucks that you have to jump through hoops because of some idiots out there.

Many hackers are kids just lacking the sense of right/wrong. Plus they have computer skills and difficulty getting employed. I think companies should start hiring them. Seriously. They will most likely grow up to be sysadmins and the like anyway.

Just an update to all. Using a site called unmask parasites I was able to find some lingering code that was altered. That code has been corrected. It appears that someone modified my original theme template to include the javascript to aid in installing malware. They then created a couple of posts in the forum as well as the spin fishing group to invoke that javascript.
The end result now is that since I was able to find the issues, all of the issues have been corrected. Unfortunately I had to delete two forum subjects as well as the spin fishing group. I have since re-created the spin fishing group so if there was anything that you had in there, I apologize for the inconvenience.
I just sent another request to Google to take us off of the "bad List" so hopefully that will happen shortly.
Due to this event, I upgraded both the main site software, community software, admin password and host passwords. I have added recaptcha to the site as well. Recaptcha are those weird swirly letters you may see at other sites when you log in. They prevent bots or scripts from joining the site. These bots and scripts have always been around but I have stayed on top of them manually and obviously cannot do it that way anymore. It will not affect anyone here, just new people joining as they will be required to enter in the special characters.
Also, I have deleted the old forum. Since the old forum is an old version of software that is not updated, new vulnerabilities creep up all the time and it just becomes a security risk.
Hopefully my actions will make this something of the past and hopefully it will not happen again. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Thanks,
Troy

Spurky,
Since you are not having an issue, I would double and triple check your computer with virus software that is updated to the latest definitions.
How we got this hack I cannot be 100% sure. There was a vulnerability somewhere and it could have very well been from something on your computer, or someone elses.
The reason I am throwing up the red flag to you is that both forum posts and the community group that were affected, you happened to have posts as well right before the script post. It could just be a coincidence because you are active but it is better to be safe than sorry.

I am no longer getting the warning so I checked my webmaster account at google and they say that the site is clear. They do state that it may take time to propagate so that the warning messages clear but we are in the clear.

Thanks for fixing that. IT was getting really annoying, with all of those pop-ups. Thanks again....
