My buddy Zak and I (Trout2003 to you guys) finally found a day to escape our hectic lives and spend a day fishing. We put together a nice plan to meet at 5am and roam around Schuylkill County to see if we could discover some new fishing spots.
Thanks to me being late

, we jumped into our first stream around 5:45 but found only so-so results for what we expected. We jumped into the truck and found a couple of other places with similar results.
Wanting to salvage the day, we decided to jump into our trucks again and head to a stream we knew we could count on and it did not disappoint, the fishing was fast and furious with a couple of spots surrendering 20+ trout. All trout caught were stream raised and wild browns, wild brooks and a beautiful and fat 14" stream raised Rainbow.
We ended the day around 12:30 with Zak catching 70 and me about 40 or so. I say or so because I was not counting so my numbers are an estimation. Keeping up with Zak is pretty much impossible, if you can stay close, you are a heck of a fisherman. I've stayed close a few times and even once ahead but was quickly eclipsed when Zak realized his eye on his rod was broke. I'll take any advantage I can get. I've considered pushing him into the stream and running ahead many times. That is not to say of course that he does not manage to push himself into the stream here and there.
Here are a few pics of some of the highlights. I took the pictures of Zak's fish, he took pictures of mine so hopefully he will follow up and upload some photos as well.
A beautiful 12" Wild Brook, a rare beast in Pa! We caught many 8" and above with several 10"ers as well.
A Wild Brown with amazing large spots
